Co-operation pays off
21.05.2014
The South Tyrol Energy Association (SEV) emphasises co-operation and the shared use of synergies, including for district heating plants.
An example of this is the “heating plant” panel, organised by SEV at least once a year. In early May technicians from South Tyrol district heating plants met again in Prad for such a get-together to develop a joint failsafe system that can in future be used, cost-effectively and quickly, by all those involved.
Mobile Heat – a jointly developed failsafe system for South Tyrol
The district heating plants that are members of the South Tyrol Energy Association now wish to conclude a service contract with an external provider who can intervene within 24 hours with a mobile unit should a heating plant in South Tyrol cease operation following a fire or natural disaster. This “insurance” is especially essential in winter months and only jointly possible, as the cost of a heating plant is prohibitive.
Co-operation pays off, and this also applies to training. The heating providers in SEV are therefore a very highly trained
group of professionals in possession of the latest know-how. This expertise is a key factor in securing the future of the district heating plants of the South Tyrol Energy Association.
