REScoop.eu sucht Koordinator

The European federation of groups and cooperatives of citizens for renewable energy, was legally established in Brussels on the 24th of December 2013. The European Federation aims to support and develop renewable energy cooperatives promoting education, information and experience exchange, supporting research and the creation of new cooperatives and helping to overcome financial and banking barriers. This federation represents its members at the national, regional and, particularly, at the European level to create a level playing field for energy cooperatives. REScoop.eu is an associative member of the European branch of ICA: Cooperatives Europe. At the end of 2014 the federation had members from 11 countries, representing about 1000 local REScoops across Europe.

REScoop.eu is now looking for its first employee: an all round Coordinator.
The Coordinator works exclusively for the organisation at the European office in Belgium , starting in Antwerp. S/he will work in close cooperation with the President and the other members of the Board of Directors, to build up the federation.

The tasks of the Coordinator include:
· daily operation of the REScoop.eu office, including handling of bank accounts, payments, fund
raising and the coordination of future employees and volunteers,
· assisting the President and the other members of the Board of Directors in :
- execution of the tasks of REScoop.eu in Horizon 2020 projects,
- maintaining and supervising REScoop.eu's online communication tools
- organisation of the annual general assembly of REScoop.eu, writing of annual reports to REScoop.eu's members,
- maintaining of good contacts with REScoop.eu's member organisations, Cooperatives Europe and other European organisations in the renewable energy sector, cooperative and social entrepreneurship, environmental ngo’s and local authority organisations
· monitoring of key political events and policy developments on the European level, in order to serve as a resource for REScoop.eu's advocay work in close collaboration with Cooperatives Europe,
· the Coordinator can also take part in meetings and represent REScoop.eu and its position, according
to a clear and limited mandate given by the Board which implies regularly travel and flexible working hours,

We are looking for someone with the following profile:
· acquaintance with renewable energy
· experience as coordinator of a cooperative or NGO will be considered as an advantage, especially when on an international level.
· education:

- Master degree, preferable in Economy/Business administration/Political Science/… or similar through experience
- excellent written and spoken English, working knowledge of Dutch, French or German is a strong asset,
- at least basic knowledge of Financial administration and accounting

· good organisational skills, the ability to multi-task and to work independently and with tight deadlines,
· good communication and diplomacy skills, ability to lobby, take initiative and to work in a international multi-cultural environment.
